Aubrey's Acres Nigerian Dwarf's
Breeding Season 2018/ Kidding Schedule 2019
We will not be accepting money reservations this year. If interested in adding an Aubrey’s Acres kid we will add you to our list. If there is a specific breeding you are interested in we will put your name down and will contact you if a kid of your choice becomes available. Available kids will be offered to those who first express interest in a particular breeding and then to those on our list. We will go in order of those who contacted us first. To get your name on our list please send us an email to [email protected] containing your name, phone number, what you are interested in (i.e. doe, buck, specific breeding), where you live and tentatively how you plan to get your future kid (i.e. farm pickup, ground transportation, air ship). If at any time you change your mind about adding an Aubrey’s Acres kid, as a courtesy please let us know. We do reserve the right to retain any kid born for replacements.
We are more than happy to assist you with your decision on adding an Aubrey’s Acres Kid. We know our goats and their pedigree best. Let us know what you are looking for/wanting to improve in your herd and we will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. We are extremely selective on what bucks we offer for sale. Herd sires are essential to the success of any breeding program. We do not consider any extra “bling” in our breeding program including eye color, coat color, wattles or polled. Our objective is to breed for correct conformation, productivity, longevity and a well attached and capacious mammary. Although we make sure every kid meets our standards before leaving we cannot guarantee the quality of the animal once matured.
All animals are free from disqualifications, CL Free and raised on CAE Prevention. Births are attended to and kids are immediately removed from their dam and bottle fed powdered colostrum and milk replacer. Kids are disbudded, tattooed, up-to date on coccidiosis preventative and have received their age appropriate vaccines. Please read our management page (currently under construction) to learn more about the care of our animals. We ensure that kids are healthy and have received proper preventative care before leaving for their new homes and our hope is that they receive the same care once they leave our hands. We are not responsible for any injuries or illnesses an animal may inquire during or after transit. Although our animals are extremely friendly and people orientated, moving can be stressful so we ask that you have basic medicine on hand to provide proper care if needed. We are always available to answer any question or concerns.
If you are considering adding an Aubrey’s Acres kid please contact us. Once notified of an available kid you will have 48 hours to notify us of your decision before we move onto the next person on our list. If the kid does not meet your needs/wants we will continue to notify you of available kids if desired. Tentative prices are listed on our breeding schedule. These prices are subject to change depending on the quality of the kid and how their dam freshens. As we contact people of available kids we will also let them know the price (This price will be final with the exception of additional fees listed below).
Once you have decided to purchase a kid you will have seven days from the notification date to send a $100 nonrefundable deposit (per kid).
The Kid(s) must be paid for in full before or at pickup/transportation. Crates (must be purchased online by the buyer and shipped to our farm since our nearest store is 45 minutes one-way), transportation fees, health certificates, and additional testing (if needed) is at buyer’s expense. Shipping is available through the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport at the Buyers expense. Farm pickups are highly encouraged. Ground transportation may be able to be arranged. We encourage kids to be transported between four and eight weeks of age. Kids must be picked up/transported by 8 weeks of age or your risk forfeiting money paid towards your kid. We are flexible on pickup/transportation however it must be communicated and approved by us in a timely matter and prior to the eight week deadline. Late pickup/transportation may result in a small boarding fee.
Does and bucks are registered under the American Dairy Goat Association. All registrations and transfers of kids are completed online at our expense. Transfers of adult animals sold with papers are at buyer’s expense.
**Repeat customers or any purchase of two or more registered kids will receive a 10% discount.
Wethers are normally always available. They make great pets! Pricing of wethers vary from $50-150. Please note that wethers are sold in pairs unless approved by us. Goats are extremely herd orientated and it is our responsibility to ensure a quality life for them. If you are interested in wethers please send us an email and you will be notified when they become available. Priority is given to people who can pick up their wethers within four weeks of age. I offer the option of a free wether (if available) with the purchase of a registered doe or buck. This is a great option for youth or people who are just starting out. Please note that we ensure that kids are healthy and have received proper preventative care before leaving for their new homes and our hope is that they receive the same care once they leave our hands. We are not responsible for any injuries or illnesses an animal may inquire during or after transit. Although our animals are extremely friendly and people orientated, moving can be stressful so we ask that you have basic medicine on hand to provide proper care if needed. We are always available to answer any question or concerns. Please read our management page (currently under construction) to learn more about the care of our goats and what your future responsibility may entitle.
